As a Reform Jew turned BT raised in secular society, I can see how a complete separation from the sight of women could be a kind of liberating experience... With no one to impress and no one to be embarrassed in front of, it appears that any concepts of shame and ego go out the window.... And hilarious ritualistic dances and shrek appearances ensue.
